If at any point you wish to change your monitoring plan, please contact our Support team through the Live Chat option. You may also log in to your web portal or the ADT+ app. On the website, the main menu will already be open on the left side of the screen; in the app, tap the three dots icon in the top right corner. Select Settings > Billing > Change Monitoring Plan.

Alarm Messenger™ enables you to confirm or cancel your burglar alarm event inside of our secure texting platform with just a tap. Your chat session includes your trusted contacts and allows you to quickly let us know if there is a real emergency or request more time to confirm. With text verification through Alarm Messenger™, ADT has prevented over 10 million false dispatches according to ADT monitoring data.

We take the information provided through Alarm Messenger™, along with other key details about your alarm event, and provide this information to first responders so they are better informed, and to request a prioritized response for confirmed alarm events. When you opt in for video sharing, you may receive real time camera images through Alarm Messenger™ to give you insight into what is happening in the moment. Your new ADT security system comes with cellular alarm event backup. In the event your Wi-Fi is disconnected, alarm events can still be sent out from the ADT Base over Cellular Data and/or Cellular SMS connection. In case of a power outage, your ADT security system is equipped with 24-hour battery backup to help you stay protected 24/7.
