For us, mousse has always been a decadent treat; something that you can spoil yourself with when the waiter slyly drops the dessert menu on your table after a nice meal. It’s a special dessert, reserved for those occasions that merit a night out and a reason to splurge.
However, the era of “treating yourself” is in full swing, and we can think of no better way to treat ourselves than to make all our favorite treats, starting with this pumpkin spice mousse. In the spirit of treating yourself, try to make the meal you prepare this for a little extra special. Put a new tablecloth down, roll up your cloth napkins instead of your usual paper ones. Break out the fancy glasses, even if you’re filling them with chocolate milk. You’ll be surprised how much a little bit of love and attention to detail can change the mood around the dinner table, especially when we’ve been eating at home so much more.
When you unveil this pumpkin spice mousse, you’ll bring everyone right back to their favorite nice restaurant, treating themselves to creamy, rich, fall-flavored goodness.
And the best part? You made this whole experience yourself.
We’d love to see how your pumpkin spice mousse turns out (and those fancy place settings!). Share a picture of your final product to our Safe at Home Facebook Group, and let us gush over your fine dining skills.
