ADT and Samsung SmartThings service is ending soon
ADT will no longer support the service after 6/1/21
Sometimes, good things do come to an end
Three years ago, ADT and SmartThings joined forces to launch the smart yet simple DIY home security system you're currently using. But times change and plans evolve. As a result, we've decided to discontinue supporting the ADT SmartThings Home Security and Safety systems effective June 1, 2021. We're truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes you.

Can I get a refund if my equipment is still under warranty on or after June 1, 2021?
You may be eligible to receive a full or partial refund for your ADT SmartThings devices (refund amounts will vary based on the age of your devices). Please visit the Samsung Refund Portal (SmartThings is a Samsung company) to submit your claim. You will need to provide the serial number of your Hub, a proof of purchase for your ADT SmartThings Home Security Starter Kit, and a list of your ADT connected sensors. You must return your devices to Samsung using the provided UPS shipping label in order to receive your refund. Refund is limited to U.S. (50 States & D.C.) customers for products intended for U.S. use only.
Also, it is important to factory reset your ADT Security Hub to remove all personal data before you ship it for refund or recycling. Please visit this Samsung Support article for detailed instructions on how to factory reset your hub. After the factory reset, please disconnect the backup battery from your ADT Security Hub before packaging it for return.
Note that this refund can be combined with the limited-time offers from ADT and SmartThings for an alternative smart home security solution.
